Katie Makin works from her studio at home in Cotswolds. Employing traditional tools and methods each piece is designed and handmade to a high standard using 925 Sterling Silver, Gold, semi precious and precious stones.

After working in the art world for a long time. Katie studied initially at Kingham Jewellery School and the has subsequently attended workshop and courses to further her knowledge. Member of JASSO ( Jewellery and Silver Society of Oxford). Member of The Guild of Jewellery Designers.

She is inspired by sculpture and the play of light on the different surfaces of metal.
